Alcohol/Drug/Batterer/Gambling Assessments
An assessment, all of which are objective tools designed to help the assessor rule-out bias, is a service my practice provides that helps the client determine if they have a problematic, dependent, or addictive relationship to substances, anger or violence. Assessments assist in the development of a treatment plan. For example, I will conduct an interview asking about current and historical experiences with the following, if applicable:
Gambling
Substance Use
Anger/Violence
medical/mental health treatment history;
Behavioral pattern- it’s symptoms and the effects the addiction/anger/violence has had on your life.
These assessments are acknowledged and used by the Courts, DMV, licensing boards and private employers.

NORC Diagnostic Screen for Gambling Problems-Self Administered and provides a simple self-test to evaluate one’s gambling behavior
